In Memoriam of the Day: A striking reminder of the incomparable talent we lost today: The isolated vocal track off of Whitney Houston’s ”How Will I Know.”
It hurts more to keep being reminded that the news is true. Finding out today, I saw twitter at the start with just one tweet saying, “A legend. #RIPWhitneyHouston.” No part of me believed it. No part of me was close to accepting that that tweet was nothing but some purely deceitful joke. Of course, within seconds even more tweets appeared and the TV was on another 5 seconds later. The beautiful voice that everyone claimed was their favorite at some point in time is now being heard in Heaven. She was a being that the world loved for her amazing musical qualities but worried for all the same for her troubling times. I’m far beyond the only one to say this but I was in greater anticipation for her comeback than any older artist. 48 years old sounds younger and younger when we all knew there were so many years left in her to provide the kind of music she was so capable of bringing to the table.
Bless such an incredible musically talented woman.
Bless a legend whose music is flowing through every individual’s ears at this time.
^This track is doing nothing but sending every kind of chill down my spine. The world wasn’t ready to say goodbye yet but the love for her music has been longer overdue for revisiting.
